A MouseWheel Digital Product
A free, open-source Windows tray app that manages brightness, colour temperature, and refresh rate across switchable profiles. Set it up once — then let DisplayPal handle the rest, or switch modes instantly with a hotkey.
what it does
Four built-in profiles — Work, Code, Game, Cinema — plus unlimited custom profiles. Each saves brightness, colour temperature, and refresh rate.
Automatically switches to your Game profile when you launch a game. Detects Steam, Epic, and any fullscreen DirectX/Vulkan app. Reverts when you close it.
Colour temperature gradually shifts throughout the day following the sun's position. Warm at night, neutral at noon. Like f.lux, but better integrated.
Works with any number of displays. Controls external monitors via DDC/CI and laptop screens via WMI. Any GPU — NVIDIA, AMD, Intel.
Switch profiles instantly with Ctrl+Alt+1/2/3/4. Nudge brightness or colour temperature on the fly. Quick dim for late nights.
Recognises ~50 productivity apps out of the box — Office, VS Code, browsers, Teams, Slack — and can switch profiles to match. Add your own custom rules too.
English, German, French, Spanish, and Japanese included. Simple JSON translation files make it easy for the community to add more.
Everything runs locally. No telemetry, no analytics, no ads. The only network call is an optional location lookup you trigger yourself.
